Tariffs may be effective in the beginning, but in the long term the American taxpayers are the ones that get hit. Consumers pay higher prices -> leads to reduced economic growth and lowers wages --> leads to Export retaliation. It's the oldest pattern in the book when it comes to tariffs. Short term gain. If you knew how tariffs worked, that would BE the proof. So you're lying when you say that you know how tariffs work.
You are doing precisely what leftists do. You are making vague reference to some THEORETICAL unicorn situation that couldconceivably exist according to some ***'s talking points and pretending that the iffy existence of some unicorn situation would magically obviate how tariffs work. Tariffs are paid by the purchaser of the tariffed goods. Look it up.
The mere demand for "proof" that never once in the history of tariffs has someone other than the purchaser of the tariffed goods born the cost proves BOTH a democ rat mentality AND iognorance of how tariffs work.
