[Someone else's post on Reddit]You will get fake and superficial connections, relationships, friendships, partnerships, etc. if you cant handle possibly not liking what is beneath the surface.
I rather just tell my friends, co-workers and family what they want to hear than what I really think cause I do not have the patience or desire to get into some heated debate in regards to politics, worldwide issues, or theirs or my personal lives.
We live in a superficial and fake society because we can't share any differing opinions on what we truly believe, who we vote for and our stance on any myriad of social and political issues. Everybody is all about "peace, love, and acceptance" until it doesn't perfectly align with their political or ideological leanings, and then it’s nothing but pitchforks and torches.

Its becoming increasingly obvious why.
