Liberal Forum

Prediction: Some catastrophe, on US soil, will happen that will be blamed on an alliance between Iran, Syria, Hezbollah, and Hamas. Number 2 will be presented first. Number 3 will be next as Israel being our commitment, and the West Bank will be number 7. 

I am saying this based on past US behaviors relative to the world:

1. A moral imperative is created to justify intervention.
2. Something happens that can be interpreted as a threat to Americans or American commerce.
3. Alliance obligations or political commitments pull the U.S. in.
4. Public opinion gradually becomes supportive or resigned to intervention.
5. A resource, trade choke point, or geopolitical strategic position is threatened.
6. The U.S. enters gradually, then escalates later.
7. Instability threatens to spread or benefit an enemy of the U.S.
