FYI if you don't have dementia and aren't retarded, you know the last major bailout was back in 2023 with Silicon Valley Bank (which happened to include many DEMOCRAP Party donors whose FDIC insured accounts contained more than the $250K threshold), and prior to that event Boeing got a massive bailout during Covid (2020) after its stock price dropped from almost 450 all the way down to 90~.
So do Coreweave, Oracle, and Scam Altman need a bailout next???

I would have been OK with "bailouts" if they actually redistributed the wealth to people in need, which didn't happen. The Wall St execs just pocketed the money and paid themselves bonuses.JohnnyYou » 26 Nov 2025, 2:06 am » wrote: ↑ So do you think Obama should have let the "too big to fail" crash in 2008?
It seems to me we are just postponeing the inevitable.
I realy don'y understand the term "shorts" very well, but America's dick looks like it will be in the nanometer range by this time next year.
The AI Bubble is a big one.. We received training on which AI we could use at work.. They asked "Is it Ok to put company data in GROK?" on the quiz. In rating the training I commented on survey there should have been a "Oh Hell No!" response offerred.
I will likely pay for AI if I have to. Altman seems like a pretty sharp guy. I certainly don't have a great grasp of the underlying details in the business to make financial choices.
I will never forget Nancy Pelosi saying during COVID.. "It's ok to bailout Wall Street"..LowIQTrash » 26 Nov 2025, 2:15 am » wrote: ↑ I would have been OK with "bailouts" if they actually redistributed the wealth to people in need, which didn't happen. "Obama" has no say in the matter, as our presidents are always (s)elected.
Then on the other side of the equation we have "Austrians" who want the market to cleanse itself...which is usually very painful but clears the way for other enterprises to take over / start fresh. And this also allows short sellers / people who love shorting Ponzi schemes (like myself) to profit![]()

Instead we got the worst of both worlds - a bailout and more handouts to the wealthy parasites.

Look at all the homeless people in America. Capitalism is the bestest, most blessed by God, most Jesusy system ever invented.
I saw we are diverting $3.9 Billion of housing aid to internment camps of no hope for the Amy Wine O's rehab operation. Another fine Gnome/Blondi shift of money to help people into corrupt contractors pockets. I heard up to 170K people who have up to 8 years of paid occupancy could be crawling the streets. What a genius way to slow down crime.LowIQTrash » 26 Nov 2025, 3:25 am » wrote: ↑ The conjobs will say it's the Soshalizt, Marxist Democrats responsible for homelessness

China with its "state sponsored" enterprise system seems to be beating the snot out of US AI companies. DeepSeek and Qwen deliver results on par with US LLMs while hogging far less computing resources. They don't need to waste 100 billion every year on Nvidia chipsFuelman » 26 Nov 2025, 9:53 am » wrote: ↑ Something to consider:

Most people have negative thoughts thinking about bail outs. Most don't realize they are getting a taxpayer bailout every time they fill up the car or truck with gasoline.LowIQTrash » 26 Nov 2025, 1:45 am » wrote: ↑ "Free market capitalism" is so successful we need bailouts every 5-10 years...![]()

Despite claims of free-market competition, the U.S. fossil fuel industry benefits from an estimated $760 billion annually through subsidies, tax breaks, and unpriced externalities, with direct government subsidies alone accounting for $10 to $52 billion per year. These policies distort energy markets, hinder renewable energy growth, and cost taxpayers billions

It's been estimated that fuel would cost $15/ gallon if this were a true free market and the fossil fuel industry took care of all costs associated with the use of fossil fuels.
Careful what you wish for.

Just sit with it, please, before you respond.
Here, let me help you see the various obvious errors you make in that post. I won't go into the ones that might require any googling.
The first error is to respond to a post about homelessness in Murka with an observation that AT BEST subsumes the homeless into a much larger group, and at worst simply does not account for them at all. We cannot know which without some googling, but it is one or the other.
The second is to make a weak defense of capitalism by comparing it to capitalism. That is just retarded, if you are honest about it.
The third is to pretend that "goods and services" is an honest measure, when on one side the "fortunate" are forced to purchase and maintain personal automobiles, and on the other side, the "less fortunate" have easy access to public transport at a very cheap cost. We do not have any idea without a deep dive whether that public transport is counted as a "good or service," and what value is assigned to it.
