Why did leaving 10% for a tip go away?

Prices go up so the tip amount goes up. When you could get a decent dinner for $10 you left a dollar. Now some dinners are $100 and they want 18% 20 25 or 30%.  **** em.  Wipe down empty tables you mother ****.

The minute you walked out of Cracker Barrel....

Standard tips for 'sit down", in the civilized world, is 15%.

You can exclude tax and pay a fixed amount for wine.

Who made that rule? That's ok. I know a lot of people who don't go out half as much as they used to. Let the restaurants die. Cook at home.

I tip for the service....service sucks?....so does the tip....be entertaining and do great....it's time to be generous

what's real crap is how some think the last 10 seconds of the meal is the only time they have to do their job...that's when they get tip friendly

It's not just the tip either. Now these mother **** charge $5 for a soda or cup of coffee. I was in Vegas a couple of weeks ago and one place charge a $1 service charge for water. **** them. I am not going fund them.

I've always been generous with tipping, 20% is my norm and have to really screw up not to get that. Excellent service is 25-30%, a little cleavage helps.

I have a disabled brain damaged Vet friend who I take out to breakfast on occasion. After his 20 questions he may as well go back in the kitchen and cook his own food. That waitress gets a bonus.

Service jobs suck, you don't have to suck too!
