There is some good news out there!

WASHINGTON, Dec 11 (Reuters) - The U.S. trade deficit unexpectedly narrowed in September, touching the lowest level in more than five years, as exports accelerated and imports rose marginally, suggesting that trade likely provided a boost to economic growth in the third quarter

The trade gap contracted 10.9% to $52.8 billion, the lowest level since June 2020, the Commerce Department's Bureau of Economic Analysis and Census Bureau said on Thursday

It helps to be on that upper slope of the K shaped economy.

I remain optimistic. It's a healthier mindset.

What's all the **** about the economy?

It's all how you approach it.

Doing a lot of landscaping and gardening I use a lot of mulch and wood chips

a dump load of mulch doubled in cost the last year or so and the wood chips went sky high too

I got a hold of tree trimmers in the area and now, if they keep their blades sharp, I let them dump here free of charge

same goes for mulch....got a hold of lawn mowers and they dump their yard waste here now too.

all of them normally pay to dump....now they don't...they're happy and I save money

I use lime and 10-10-10 in the mix and turn it once a week with the loader....got so much I give it away and even have a guy coming over to see about buying some.

Now instead of paying through the nose for mulch and chips....it's free....and could start earning gas and maintenance money for the loader if I decide to sell instead of giving it away

I can see how this could turn into a business without much effort...but that's the last thing I want to happen at this point
