Adam Weishaupt may have been a “Christian” but he had Jewish ancestry. These things are not necessarily mutually exclusive.

It really depends who you ask lol. The official narrative is that Weishaupt came out of a Jesuit background and later founded the Bavarian Illuminati; I guess to infiltrate and exert influence over existing Masonic lodges 

But in the mythology, Jacob Frank’s circle, early Rothschild networks, and Weishaupt’s Illuminati all overlap through the same Masonic–Enlightenment circles of the era.  

How much of that is true im not sure, but I at least got Grok to admit Weishaupt was Jewish, so one step at a time
