Thanks. But sometimes I wonder if I would be better off if I had majored in 19th century Russian Studies at Brown.     


A few of us here are in the middle of building our own LLM (Large Language Model), which is what Chatgpt, Grock, Anthropic, and others are. At the moment it is a mini one for prototype purposes. It is much different. It is more related to how the human brain functions. Currently, LLMs run off statistical probabilities and pattern recognitions. It doesn't reason. It appears like it does, but it doesn't understand the meaning of what it says, it just goes off patterns of what was said before with the data it was trained on. Ours goes off concepts, not pattern recognition. So it will be able to reason out problems like a human brain will.

I wish my AI Pinochle partner wasn't such an idiot...!
I still manage to win 65% of the time since our AI opponents are idiots who lack a sense of priority too.
AI is very good at counting cards that have been played, computing some probabilities and obeying all of the basic rules.
I shouldn't be too critical because I imagine it was a monumental task to create the AI pinochle game I play.
