based on that, what are the odds that the hiring practices are crooked?

Assuming a 1000-employee warehouse and random hiring from Canada's 7.1% South Asian population, odds of all being Indian are about 1 in 10^1000 (far lower than finding one specific grain of sand in all deserts);

FAR LOWER THAN FINDING ONE SPECIFIC GRAIN OF SAND IN ALL DESERTS ON PLANET EARTH

I wonder about the attraction of the H1-B's. The one's I work with struggle with any technical writing, but they are young and still adapting to Western Culture. But the Global Beast Employer really likes them. There must be some incentive.

One of he more stunning things I learned in 2025 is that the average yearly salary in India is ~6,000 US Dollars a year. A cellphone builder lives on 200$ a month in India. Ghuttzno Ball's Boss man wants to build cell phones here in the US for a worker who can barely survive on $1800 a month.

I am 60+.. There are very few capable young American Engineers.

Well luckily for Indians, tech companies plan to hire 30,000+ Indian workers directly in India as H1Bs are now under additional scrutiny.

We set up data transfer and have a half dozen cad/engineer subcontractor outfit in India on the design team.
They only need 2$K a year salary. The White Americans argue their work sucks and causes more problems than it fixes. They are capable of learning and white boy should have caught their early mistakes and made engineering change requests.  

Meanwhile, in 2026 all you gotta do is ask Grok or Gemeni to design a refrigeration system that will freeze and store 10,000 chickens a day.
