Why I believe America will fall soon. We refuse to bring back the good old days.

If you read American history, it is full examples of citizens not putting up with corruption. They would take the streets, find the politicians responsible, then beat the **** out of them. Now people take to the streets and beat the **** of each other. I doubt anyone here will admit this, but deep down inside, you all know that not a damn thing will happen to Walz and the rest of the corruption that has been going down for decades. The justice system won't do anything, but the lack of enforcement is not what will take America down. What will take it down is that we the people won't do **** either. We will do what we always do. Watch the media, then accept that nothing happens.

That being the case, then I see no reason why we have earned the right to stand any longer. Our ancestors earned it for us. Unfortunately, they died in wars just for their posterity to sit around and do nothing.

Agreed. But when I say fallen, I mean we will fall into mass poverty and be no different than a 3rd world country.

Interesting take. Here is mine...

People keep talking like America is one wobble away from collapsing, but if that were true, this country would have died off long before any of us were born. We’ve survived depressions, wars, corruption, and enough political chaos to make most nations fold. Yet every time someone declares the end, the country steadies itself and pushes forward again. Our ancestors didn’t spend their lives beating up politicians. They built, rebuilt, and kept moving even when everything looked hopeless. That’s why the United States became the strongest nation on earth, not because of street fights, but because people refused to quit. The idea that America is doomed because people aren’t reenacting the Revolutionary War every weekend is kind of a dramatic. The economy keeps expanding, new industries keep rising, and the country still leads the world in power and influence. History shows that America’s best moments tend to show up right after everyone insists, they’re gone — and I’m betting that pattern isn’t changing anytime soon. TRUMP is saving America from becoming that third world ****-HOLE that the 5x5 Cult Club on here wants.

So, let's recap the Ignorance here...shall we.

Great post. I believe the difference is that in your examples, there was very little decay in our social and moral fabric, overall. For the most part, there wasn't an intense division. The last division led to a very gory and bloody war. Though the civil war is under different pretenses and circumstances, it still establishes what deep division will lead to. If the South won, then they would have permanently seceded. Thereby, causing the fall of America. That is where I am coming from. That is why I mentioned that these days people take to the streets to beat the hell out of each other. One side has to win.  But both sides are convinced that they are standing on moral ground.

To you people giving up without a fight, read this:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of ... %281946%29

The battle of Athens

In 1936, the E. H. Crump political machine based in Memphis, controlled much of Tennessee; their influence extended to McMinn County with the introduction of Paul Cantrell, Democrat candidate for sheriff.[1]: 115  Cantrell, who came from a wealthy and influential family in nearby Etowah, tied his campaign closely to the popularity of the Roosevelt administration.

Cantrell rode FDR's coattails to victory over his Republican opponent in what came to be known as the "vote grab of 1936", which delivered McMinn County to the Crump Machine.[1]: 115  Paul Cantrell was reelected sheriff in the 1938 and 1940 elections, and was elected to the state senate in 1942 and 1944, while his former deputy Pat Mansfield was elected sheriff to take his place.[1]: 115  In 1941, a state law reduced political opposition to Crump's officials by reducing the number of voting precincts from 23 to 12 and reducing the number of justices of the peace from fourteen to seven (including four "Cantrell men").

[2] The sheriff and his deputies were paid under a fee system, whereby they received money for every person they booked, incarcerated, and released.[2] Tourists and travelers were targeted because of this fee system.[1]: 116  Buses passing through the county were often pulled over, and passengers randomly ticketed for drunkenness, regardless of their intoxicated state.[2] Between 1936 and 1946, these fees amounted to almost $300,000.[1]: 116

So something you've never seen is much better than something about which you are, at best, largely ignorant?

Something you never seen?         How dumb do you get? You don't need to personally see anything in history to know if it worked or not.

It has to hurt being this **** stupid.

Just crash the stock market by 70%

Leave the infrastructure (electricity, running water, food supply chains) intact

Thank you in advance

That isn't in the hands of the 90% of America. Only the elitists can do that. Which they will.

Where does corruption begin in any person alive let alone a whole society or whole ancestral lineage or whole species?

Self deception where a personal brain since conceived minds a social consensus developed after birth each generation gap forward added daily, so far. Life reproduces ancestors one at a time in series parallel displacement by the numbers living forward in plain sight or out of view by a collective group of people wishing life were more than time left adapting equally here.
