She makes a valid point. Yes, the government will destroy a civilian's life over a few thousand dollars, while protecting the big institutions. But what she fails to see is that it isn't about the money or the amount of it. It's about power and control. It doesn't matter if it was over a dollar or a million dollars. power and control over the people. Period. Normally, if a government wants to control the people, they would first disarm the populace. Like Nazi Germany. However, they can't take our guns. Or if they tried, it would be unlikely they would succeed. Therefore, they control other resources that our lives depend on. Our income. When they control our way of life, then they control us.

Turning Point USA contributor Savanah Hernandez announced on Tuesday that she would stop paying taxes in protest over the government’s misuse of funds.“F*ck it, I’m not paying taxes this year,” wrote Hernandez in a social media post. “And then when the IRS comes after me, I’ll blow that up into a huge national story about how the government will destroy your life over a couple thousand dollars meanwhile the Pentagon just failed their 8th straight audit in a row, Somalis literally come to the U.S. just to defraud us out of billions and illegals are prioritized for section 8 housing and welfare programs over Americans. I’m not paying for it anymore.”In another post, she added, “I’m not even joking, I am fully supporting Americans not paying taxes this year or any other year until we see arrests made, funds being utilized properly and fraud being rooted out.”
 Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) responded, “This is how angry Americans are and rightfully so, with nearly $40 Trillion in debt and Social Security becoming insolvent in 2033. Now imagine if millions of Americans did this.”The sentiment was echoed by several other commentators, including the Hodge Twins, who wrote, “At this point there is no reason to pay taxes anymore…What are the feds gonna do if we all just stop paying taxes?”

there is a simple solution to social security-- increase the amount that can be taxed for social security right now the cap is 176,000. in other words musk only pays ss tax on 167,000 and after that nothing even tho he makes billions of dollars.

lift the cap  pronto.

===================
The Social Security tax cap for 2025 is $176,100, meaning only earnings up to this amount are subject to the 6.2% Social Security tax (paid by both employees and employers). This is an increase from the 2024 limit and is adjusted annually based on wage growth, with all covered wages still subject to Medicare tax.

musk makes 176 k withiin one week, after that he pays no social security tax.

True. But the system is built to preserve the powerful. Not the 90% of Americans. They would lift cap for the populace to pay, but then they would find a way to protect the elite's money so they won't have to pay. These problems are much deeper than practical solutions. In a perfect society, logic would be enough. But logic doesn't change the system. Control, power, and leverage controls the system. That is why the elitist are not persuaded by logical arguments. They are persuaded by what kind of leverage they can possess that will prevent them from being replaced.

this should be an election issue- only vote for those who would lift the cap.
