Musk returns to Trump not even 24 hours after Trump said he wanted Greenland again. Must be a coincidence.
Given that Greenland has one of the most mineral rich metals for EVs in the world, I still cannot imagine that would have any effect on him rekindling their bromance.

You mean Make America Ev Again? That is why Musk left in the first place. Trump said he wanted to cancel the EV mandate. Musk got pissed off and left. The idea is a utopian fantasy. Sure, a population driving around without emissions sounds great but you have to ignore a couple a big hurdles for that to make leftie sense.
Mining the materials needed to make current high-tech batteries is messy and then the end-of-life for non-reusable poisonous scrap years later are two realities.
Then the infrastructure... Even is it magically appeared all over the country, it would suddenly cause a massive drain on the electrical grid. We'd need nuclear powerplants built to fuel the recharging stations.
The other nasty bit with no solution so far is the cold weather zones. Batteries of all types don't like freezing cold.

If ALL subsidies were removed, would anyone buy EV's? I personally don't like helping people buy these golfcarts.
