- Paula Jones Lawsuit: In 1994, Paula Jones, a former Arkansas state employee, filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against then-President Clinton, alleging that he propositioned her and exposed himself in a hotel room in 1991 when he was governor of Arkansas. The case went to the Supreme Court, which ruled that a sitting president is not immune from civil lawsuits for acts committed before taking office. The lawsuit was initially dismissed by a district judge for lack of legal merit but was reinstated on appeal, and Clinton ultimately agreed to an out-of-court settlement of $850,000 in November 1998, without admitting any wrongdoing. It was during the discovery phase of this lawsuit that Clinton gave a deposition in which he denied a sexual relationship with Monica Lewinsky, a denial that led to his impeachment for perjury and obstruction of justice.
- Juanita Broaddrick Allegations: Juanita Broaddrick alleged in 1999 that Clinton raped her in a Little Rock hotel room in 1978, when he was Arkansas Attorney General. Clinton, through his lawyer, denied the accusation, and no criminal charges were ever filed. Broaddrick had initially signed an affidavit denying that an "unwelcome sexual advance" occurred, but later stated she did so to avoid public scrutiny.
- Kathleen Willey Allegations: Kathleen Willey, a former White House volunteer, alleged in 1998 that Clinton groped and forcibly kissed her in the Oval Office in 1993. Clinton denied the allegations, and the independent counsel's office found inconsistencies in Willey's statements and determined there was insufficient evidence to pursue the claim further.
- Leslie Millwee Allegations: In October 2016, Leslie Millwee accused Clinton of groping her on three separate occasions in 1980, when she was a TV reporter and he was the Governor of Arkansas. Clinton's campaign did not respond to these specific allegations when they emerged.
