If Africa was isolated from the rest of the world

I have not been to Africa, but I read a lot and had a number of African students in my classes.
I know enough to recognize dumb nonsense when I see it.
You think it is amusing to poke fun at some guy that tried to invent an airplane. It took from the Dawn of Civilization until 1903 before the Wright Brothers figures it out. Leonardo tried and failed.
