Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III has been chosen as America's next Attorney General.

Won't it be nice to have a racist like him running the Department Of Justice?
In 1986, a Senate committee denied Sessions, then a 39-year-old U.S. attorney in Alabama, a federal judgeship. His former colleagues testified Sessions used the n-word and joked about the Ku Klux Klan, saying he thought they were "okay, until he learned that they smoked marijuana."

Thomas Figures, a black assistant US attorney who worked for Sessions, testified that Sessions called him "boy" on multiple occasions.

J. Gerald Hebert, who was a Justice Department lawyer, testified that Sessions said a white attorney who represented black clients might be a disgrace and that the NAACP and ACLU did more harm than good by trying to force civil rights "down the throats of people."

"He has never backed off from the comments he made at that time. He has never apologized for them," Hebert said Thursday.
