Just a day after The Wall Street Journal reported former Sen. Bob Dole helped set up Donald Trump's controversial call with Taiwan, a new report reveals Dole's law firm was paid $20,000 a month to advance Taiwan's interests in Washington D.C.

According to an investigation by BuzzFeed News, public documents under the Foreign Agents Registration Act show the Taiwanese government paid Alston & Bird LLP, a law firm that lists Dole as special counsel, thousands of dollars to lobby for the government's interests.

The firm also helped Taiwanese officials meet with Republican lawmakers in Washington.

The Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office, Taiwan's de facto embassy was the group Dole's law firm represented.

It agreed to pay Alston & Bird LLP a $20,000 per month retainer in 2016.

In total, the group has paid Dole's law firm approximately $200,000 since November of last year.

So Dole is lobbying for a foreign government.
And we were told that it was nothing more than a 'congratulatory' call.
Not to mention the fact that the Trump organization recently sent someone to Taiwan to see about building a hotel near a new airport which is planned to be built there.
Business as usual.
That swamp just keeps getting deeper.
Always follow the money.
