I remember when some workers Aquaduct had a strike in the early 80s or late 70s. I was stayng with my dad for a week and the workers on strike were slashing tires in the parking lot of those going to the track.

I don't remember hearing about that. I was no longer living just outside the track by then.
I do remember that whenever the track was running the gamblers took up all the parking spaces on my block to avoid parking in the lot.
