Krauthammer Warns GOP: Stop Calling Benghazi Obama's Watergate, Just Be Quiet And Present FactsAppearing on Foxs Special Report Tuesday evening, columnist Charles Krauthammer warned the Republican Party not to exaggerate the depth of the scandal currently surrounding the Obama administrations response to the Benghazi attacks last September.Asked by host Bret Baier about the presidents assertion that there is no there there in the GOPs charges over the Benghazi attacks, Krauthammer broke down the three theres of how the administration has engaged in falsehood on top of falsehood. He then warned Republicans:"The one advice I give to Republicans is stop calling it a huge scandal. Stop saying it's a Watergate. Stop saying it's Iran-Contra. Let the facts speak for themselves. Have a special committee, a select committee. The facts will speak for themselves. Pile them on but don't exaggerate, don't run ads about Hillary. It feed the narrative for the other side that it's only a political event. It's not. Just be quiet and present the facts."I disagree with Krauthammer that this is NOT a political event. On Wednesday, The National Review warned Republicans that "scandal is not an agenda," and they should not think scandals will "deliver election victories in 2014."Bill O'Reilly has also jumped in, urging Republicans to stop putting Obama-bashing ahead of the facts.
