What about the incoherent direct quotes from Trump's own mouth in the article?
TRUMP: I had been reading about THINGS.
I read in – I think it was January 20th, a New York Times article where they were talking about wiretapping.
There was an article, I think they used that exact term.
I read other THINGS.
I watched your friend Bret Baier the day previous, where he was talking about certain, very complex sets of THINGS happening, and wiretapping.
I said “Wait a minute, there’s a lot of wiretapping being talked about.”
I have been seeing a lot of THINGS.
So he made up that lie about Obama tapping his phones because he saw a lot of THINGS.
Nothing earth shattering in there, but it did start the conversation about him releasing his taxes again.
So what excuse do you think he will use to not release the returns he's going to file for 2016?
They couldn't possibly be under audit, and he promised that he would release his returns when they were no longer under audit.
I'm sure you will defend whatever lie he comes up with.
Guaranteed he says that 1. he's filing an extension and 2. he points to the 2005 returns that Maddow featured on her program as proof that he pays taxes.
They were marked 'client copy' so many people think he cherry picked a year when he actually paid a decent amount of taxes and released them himself.
The White House put out a statement saying that they were proof that he pays taxes and
his own son Tweeted the same thing.
The reason that people want to see his returns is not so much to see how much he paid in taxes, but more about who he's doing business with and who he owes money to, so we can know if there are any conflicts of interest.
Of course, you don't give a **** about any of that because he has an R after his name and not a D.
