I post screenshots of people's Tweets along with the link to whatever news story they happen to be Tweeting about.

And as far as Facebook goes, I have two accounts.
One for friends and family, where I never talk politics, and one for online friends where I do talk politics, but I hardly ever go on that account anymore.
So I have no idea what Facebook memes he's talking about.
