Except that Obama, Holder, and IRS officials have came out and condemned those actions by the IRS.Yet, here you are still defending them...I'm not defending anyone. If it is proven that the IRS specifically targeted Conservative groups based solely on their political ideology that's wrong, and I've said so, many times. The hearings and investigations are still ongoing, so it hasn't been proven yet.It could very well be that they just used a stupid way of trying to sort out groups that were involved in politics, since they were inundated with applications for tax exempt status before the 2012 elections, especially by right wing groups.I prefer to wait until all the facts come out.I know facts are irrelevant to people like you and Clem. You've already decided that Obama personally went to Cincinatti and ordered the IRS workers to give Tea Party groups extra scrutiny.Anyway, according to the law, which the IRS has not followed, none of these groups, either Liberal or Conservative should be getting tax exempt status for doing political work. The whole system is broken and needs to be fixed.BTW, maybe you can help poor Clem out and provide some proof that the IRS has been 'auditing' any of these Tea Party groups unfairly. Not just giving their applications extra scrutiny, but actually 'auditing' their returns. He insists that's true, but he refuses to prove it.
