Next, if you show up to the polls and are denied the right to cast an official ballot you request a provisional ballot. You then have time to get the situation squared away and your vote will be counted.

They probably had to take time off from work to vote, and now they have to take more time off to prove that they had a right to vote after their name was wrongly purged from the rolls.

A couple of things. Polls are open in most states from early in The morning to later at night. FYI.

FYI I work 5, sometimes 6 days a week, 60 plus hours on a 5 day week, and still find the time to vote. Additionally, since I moved just before the election I was not on the voters roles. FYI I was able to find time to get my issue take care of.

FYI many states have early voting. If you work, FYI, you have ample opportunity to get to the polls if you wish to do it in person OR most states have absentee balloting. FYI If you wish to vote but your work schedule does not allow it you not only have early voting but you can go the absentee routs. Early voting includes Saturday's.

FYI, your are guanteed the right to vote by the constitution. FYI it doesn't guarantee that you will not have to put forth effort to do so. FYI, it doesn't guantee it will be effortless.

FYI if a person wants to vote they damn sure will find a way to get it done.

FYI many votes to include provisional do not get counted before results are public. They are before the vote is certified days later. Mostly because on the initial counts once a candidate gets to a certain point no amount of votes left will change that.

I am also well aware of how democrats treat provisional and absentee ballots. Was a big fight for Al Gore when he tried to have thousands of military votes tossed out in 2000.
