Hmmm.
Former FBI Director Robert Mueller named Special Counsel.
He was the FBI Director when Comey was the Deputy AG, so he reported to Comey.
He was the one who back in 2004 accompanied Comey on that dash to the hospital to stop Alberto Gonzales and Andrew Card from trying to get a half-conscious John Ashcroft to sign off on Bush's warrantless wiretapping program.
