This is what is called a classic backfire.
The GOP's Twitter Just Came for Hillary Clinton, and She Promptly Shut It Down
The Republican Party's Twitter account got exactly what it asked for Wednesday, after a series of tweets attempting to troll prominent Democrats.
It took aim at Sen. Bernie Sanders, Sen. Elizabeth Warren, and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
Clinton, much to the GOP's chagrin, actually responded.
Here's the tweet.
Well, when you're asked a question, it's only polite to answer.
So she did.
Once again it seemed Clinton was prepared to actually answer questions and had genuine policy ideas.
That seemed pretty familiar to Calvin Stowell.
Um ...
As if Clinton coming through with a response wasn't enough, people hopped on the GOP's Twitter to question exactly why it was asking anyway.
Some just wanted to say thank you.
Mr. Mustang came through with a friendly reminder.
Nolen Gertz just said what most of Twitter seemed to be thinking.
