It's a violation of campaign finance laws.
Rob Goldstone who organized the meeting made it clear that the information was 'part of Russia and its government's support for Mr. Trump' so Fredo knew it was coming from the Russian government.
Fredo illegally solicited a contribution from a foreign national — in the form of opposition research.
That is a violation of 52 USC 30121, 36 USC 510.
A source on Fox specifically addressed this, and
as usual you're utterly full of crap. The law specifically allows services and information provided by foreign governments.
Beyond that, the penalty for violating this isn't criminal; it's a fine.
Not only that, but this utter minor supposed violation of law is microscopic compared
to the massive illegal fundraising that Bill Clinton did; one of many charges that would have been brought against him had the Senate held a full trial.
All of which you dishonestly denied for years.
What a complete and utter joke you are.
