I posted the article without offering any comment or opinion about whether or not the statue of Robert E.Lee should be removed and the author of the story offered no opinion on that either.

That's not what the story was about.
It was about how Lee himself felt about statues of Civil War generals.

It's up to the people of Charlottesville whether or not that statue should come down.
