My bad. It was roughly $1.3 trillion, but the more important point is, the last Bush deficit was supposed to be a one-time event for TARP, after which the deficit would plummet. Obama and Dems strongly supported that, so they bear more responsibility than most Repubs, who opposed it.


Obama and Democrats bumped up spending well over historical levels as a % of GDP and kept it very high until Repubs took the House and forced Obama to reduce spending.


So your point is, what?
