It was a Cat 5 hurricane headed straight for Florida, so the 'panic' was not unwarranted.
Luckily two things that the weather forecasters said could happen did happen.
It made landfall in Cuba, which lessened the intensity, and it wobbled to the West, so it did not hit Miami straight on.
Those two things could just as easily not happened and it could have hit Miami as a Cat 5.

Rush told his listeners that the warnings about Hurricane Irma were a scam to promote a climate change agenda and boost bottled water sales.

That was a totally irresponsible thing to do.
But you will never admit that.
