Nickolas Ashford, husband of Valerie Simpson and half of one of the greatest song writing teams of all time, died on August 22, 2011. Together they wrote such songs as "Let's Go Get Stoned", "Ain't No Mountain High Enough", "You're All I Need To Get By", "Ain't Nothing Like the Real Thing", and "Reach Out and Touch (Somebody's Hand)".
