Republicans Were So Busy Trying To Repeal Obamacare, They Ran Out the Clock On The Health Insurance Of 9 Million Kids

Believe it or not, there was another atrocity in our politics over the weekend.
This atrocity can kill at a respectable remove from the perpetrators.
From the LA Times:
Christamighty, these gossoons spent so much time trying to strip health care from 32 million Americans that they ran out the clock on health care for nine million kids.

This is terrible if it represents simple legislative incompetence, but it’s even worse if—as I suspect—it was deliberate.
Lovely.

The House of Representatives is on the case.
In a tweet earlier Monday morning, Maggie Haberman of The New York Times pointed us to this statement from a “House GOP aide” that claims that the funding won’t run out until December.
