This morning on Morning Joe, Mika Brzezinski said that they invited several Republican members of Congress to be on the show, but they all declined, because you know, as Sarah Sanders said yesterday, now is not the time to talk about gun policy.
When 20 five and six year olds were slaughtered in Connecticut, that was not the time to talk about gun policy.
Even when their own members were targeted by a mass shooter at a baseball practice, that was not the time to talk about gun policy.
I say now IS the time to talk about gun policy.
For years the NRA has been stoking paranoia by telling people that the gov't is going to take their guns away.
They do this to gin up gun sales, because they are in bed with the gun manufacturers and sellers.
And like good little lemmings, people like the guy in Vegas are stockpiling weapons.
Nobody needs to have an arsenal like the guy in Las Vegas had for self protection.
Military style weapons are not defensive weapons, they are offensive weapons.
They have one purpose, and that is to kill as many people as possible, as quickly as possible.
That's just my two cents, and if anyone is going to tell me that because I am not an expert on guns, I am not entitled to an opinion on this, I say blow it out your ***.
If you think that the Second Amendment is absolute, I suggest you go back and reread Justice Scalia's opinion in the Heller case ruling.
Cowards.
