The Neocons wouldn't like to hear you talk this way. There system is in place for a reason and you shouldn't question something that is necessary to achieve their goals. You're straying from the approved talking points and sounding a bit leftist in doing so.I always have sounded a bit 'leftist'. If you're going by the real definition of a Liberal - an individual who promotes freedom both socially and economically a great deal. I believe in a free-enterprise society but I am fed up with feeling like small businesses are getting screwed. While our enormous corporations can get away with nearly murdering our economy and get billions in bailouts from both Republicans and Democrats? That's not free-enterprise. Hell, I'm not even sure if you can call that capitalism. That's corporate socialism slowly coming to fruition. But let me be clear, while I do promote social freedoms as well, I greatly encourage responsibility concerning the individual. Meaning if you have to go get an abortion and you weren't raped or have a life-threatening birth ahead of you, you've essentially committed murder for being a careless human being and nothing more. The moment the spark of life enters that fetus, it has a future ahead of it that you just denied it. That is something you should not view with carelessness on any level.Sadly, many Liberal women would argue that with me and it actually breaks my heart at times. Apparently for them the 'freedom of choice' also means the freedom to destroy and do as they please without considering the consequences of their actions. So I am not a Liberal to the 'absolute' but I do believe heavily all the same in allowing for choices. Though that doesn't mean those choices should be deprived of consequences or beneficial returns as if they meant nothing. Edited by Kelliak, 12 March 2011 - 05:59 PM.
