Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) and his obstructionist Democratic colleagues will not be able to block forever the initiatives and nominees put forward by President Donald Trump.
A key reason is the fact that more and more Trump appointees among front-line prosecutors and other law enforcement positions are peering into the recent past — and offering important context for the public to consider concerning scandals covered up during President Barack Obama’s eight years in the Oval Office. (Yes, there actually were scandals then!)
For example, only weeks after Dana Boente submitted his resignation as U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia on October 26, 2017, Americans finally learned that lobbyist William D. Campbell had reams of evidence potentially implicating former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and the Clinton Foundation in corruption, money-laundering, and fraud dating back to at least 2009.
Obama’s Department of Justice under Attorney General Eric Holder somehow failed to notice, investigate or prosecute any of the crimes to which Campbell pointed before the 2012 presidential election.
