Seems that a FISA warrant was issued for a computer server in Trump Tower suspected of links to Russian banks.
I remember that story now.
They wanted to know why this Russian bank kept pinging that server during the campaign.
The FBI is reportedly examining why a Russian bank with ties to Putin wanted to reach the Trump Organization during the campaign.
On November 17th, in a move unprecedented for a military officer, Rogers, without notifying superiors, traveled to New York to meet with Trump at Trump Tower.
On Friday November 18th The Washington Post reported on a recommendation in “October” by Defense Secretary Ashton B. Carter and Director of National Intelligence James R. Clapper that Mike Rogers be removed from his NSA position for poor performance.
Both Clapper and Carter had put Rogers on notice for poor performance in internal security and for a poor leadership style.
So it looks like Mike Rogers was kissing up to 45 to get a job in the incoming administration (which he did BTW) and his visit to Trump Tower was actually a job interview.
And that is why Rogers traveled to NY.
What proof do you have that he went there to warn 45 about anything?
You think that if they really wanted to wire tap 45, his moving to a golf course would have stopped that?

Also, traffic in NYC was a mess.
There was a phalanx of police officers armed with assault weapons, bomb-sniffing dogs and cement barricades outside Trump Tower.
And cameras were recording everyone who went in and out of the building.
The golf course was more secure and more private.
