Since Carter Page had a history of dealing with Russian spies, it was not unreasonable for the FBI to obtain a FISA warrant to look at him again.

This kind of shatters the narrative that the warrant was issued based on the Steele dossier.

Yes, there was a pretext in order to cover up this massive abuse of power.

And here's hint. When an American comes into contact with a Russian spy, the spy doesn't identify himself. "Hi, I'm a Russian spy!"

So unless the American violates the law, he has done nothing wrong.
