He drank heavily and denigrated women.
But he has portrayed himself to be some kind of a choir boy in High School, who only played sports, studied and went to church.

It is absolutely not true that EVERYONE who went to school with him is defending him.
I saw two women who went to Yale with him on TV last night who talked about what a fall down stumbling belligerent drunk he was.
And there are many more where they came from.
Why do you think he got so evasive and snarky anytime he was asked about how much he drank and if he had ever blacked out?
