Last month, it was President Donald Trump. According to a published report, Trump was waxing on about McCain’s 2017 vote against a repeal of the Affordable Care Act during a lunch with television news anchors.
“By the way, he wrote a book and the book bombed," the New York Times reported Trump as saying.
He was referring to McCain’s final memoir, “The Restless Wave: Good Times, Just Causes, Great Fights and other Appreciations, published in May 2018.
This month, the designated McCain basher is Michelle Malkin.
The conservative commentator drew a standing ovation on Friday during the annual Conservative Political Action Conference.
During her speech, Malkin called out conservative leaders, blaming them for not doing enough to combat illegal immigration.
“Sanctuary cities have metastasized and both parties are to blame.
And yes, I’m looking at you, retired Paul Ryan. And yes, I’m looking at you, Mitch McConnell!
And yes, I’m looking at you, Bush family!” Malkin said to applause.
Then she pointed up and added: “And yes, I’m looking at you, the ghost of John McCain!”
People stood and applauded.
