November 5th, 2016: The woman who has sued Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump for rape scheduled a press conference on November 2, but was forced to cancel after receiving threats.
Her attorney, Lisa Bloom, says the event will be rescheduled.
Update: The accuser did not appear in November, and has never appeared publicly nor described her allegations, other than in her now dismissed lawsuit.
"Jane Doe" filed the lawsuit claiming that Trump raped her when she was 13 years old, in the 1990s, at a party hosted by billionaire convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
One witness, going by the name "Tiffany," stated in an affidavit that she witnessed Trump and Epstein rape Doe several times.
Trump has denied the allegations, and his attorney, Alan Garten, has called the allegations "categorically untrue."
The plaintiff and witnesses in the case have used pseudonyms to protect their identities.
Also disturbing, members of the free press have been threatened for attempting to cover the story.
When a Daily Beast writer asked for information, another Trump attorney, Michael Cohen, responded with threats, both legal and personal:
"I will make sure that you and I meet one day while we're in the courthouse. And I will take you for every penny you still don't have.
And I will come after your Daily Beast and everybody else that you know.
So I'm warning you, tread very **** lightly, because what I'm going to do to you is going to be **** disgusting.
You understand me? You write a story that has Mr. Trump's name in, with the word 'rape,' and I'm going to mess your life up .... for as long as you're on this frickin' planet."
Such nice people, these Trump friends.
Cohen later apologized for his threats.
It reads in part:
Plaintiff was enticed by promises of money and a modeling career to attend a series of parties, with other similarly situated minor females, held at a New York City residence that was being used by Defendant Jeffrey Epstein.
At least four of the parties were attended by Defendant Trump. Exhs. A and B.
On information and belief, by this time in 1994, Defendant Trump had known Defendant Epstein for seven years (New York, 10/28/02), and knew that Plaintiff was then just 13 years old. Exhs. A and B.
