People express sympathy every day at the death of people they don't know. They send cards, emails, make phone calls to families in the news who've lost loved ones in tragic ways. Their emotions are real, their sympathy genuine. How can you say that you have to have known someone before you can feel sympathy for them? I don't understand.If others want to do that, that's fine.
