If the premise is that people with disabilities are equal, then there's no call for extra rights and preferential treatment. No extra rights or preferential treatment. The treaty was designed to 'promote, protect and ensure the full and equal enjoyment of all human rights and fundamental freedoms by all persons with disabilities, and to promote respect for their inherent dignity'.
