That is exactly my point.
By concentrating on the few protesters committing violence or vandalism, you can just dismiss why the protests started to begin with, so you don't have to deal with it.
This is exactly why Trump sent in his secret police.
He knew that it would provoke violent confrontations that would deflect from the real issue of police brutality.
He put the hook in your mouth and you are allowing him to reel you in.
Sending his Gestapo into Portland has done nothing to make things any better.
It has only inflamed the situation.
The protests in Portland have grown exponentially and are now spreading to other cities.
