Here's some more.  When was the last time you saw a mass knifing that killed in double digits?  Assault-style rifles, OTOH, are the favorite tool of the demented.  They are superior only in the way the unskilled can kill more people easily and rapidly.  They are inferior tools for hunting, superior only in the way their appearance makes the impotent and angry feel manly.
