I don't see how....citations continue to confirm that the AR15 was designed for the battle field....

I haven't said that I want "semi automatic weapons banned" I have explained why I want weapons DESIGNED for use in combat banned for civilian possession and sale...

Citations where you leave key elements such as the Armalite weapon was rebranded the M 16.  

Weapons designed for use in contact are banned or if manufactured before 86 heavily restricted. The Colt At 15 sporter, as continuously posted was designed for civilians and cops.  Today’s AR variants are simply semi auto sports weapons.  And as you say should not be banned.
