So it DOES.

Fancy that..

And what, exactly is it a list of?

This article describes the many variations of the Colt AR-15 and M16 rifle family of weapons produced by Colt's Manufacturing Company. Weapons patterned on the original ArmaLite AR-15 design have been produced by numerous manufacturers and have been used by nations around the world, some of which created their own variations. The tables here are split in a variety of categories, and provide an overview of different subtypes.

That seems quite clear...

No sir, does not show up on the list of Military Models.  It shows up on the list of Colt civilian models.  Scroll down until you see it.

There are TWO separate and distinct lists.

One list is Colt military models with auto and burst. The list of weapons designed for combat.  The AR 15 semiautomatic is not on that list.  The other list is Colt civilian models.  That is where the AR 15 semi automatic appears that was designed for civilian.  You will not find a single weapon on that list that has burst or auto mode.

Although you did not intend to you have FINALLY answered the question about what capabilities does the AR 15 semiautomatic share with the M16.  The answer is NONE.
