Additionally, the title of the article is List of Colt AR-15 and M16 rifle variants. Two separate entities. You then have a list of Colt M16 rifle based weapons. That is the title of that section. Those are your M 16 variants. The Semi Auto AR 15 is not on that list.
Next you have another subsection of the article with the title Colt civilian models. Those are the AR 15 variants. No M 16 on that list. If one was the variant of the other and had the same capabilities and function there would be no need for two lists. You lost. They would all be listed together.
And you showed that both those weapons share no functions and capabilities that make the AR 15 a battlefield weapon. Thanks playing. You keep believing idiot politicians and MSM members.

Variant has a specific meaning in this context....it's a "term of art"..
