You said that the reason for DST was the Joos... and that is indeed incorrect.

The Joos might have played a part in maintaining the status quo in regards to DST today, but they certainly aren't the reason for it's existence.

There are a lot of entities that would just as soon see it stay like it is, not just the Joos. Most would rather see Standard time become the norm, which is NOT what the bill calls for.

The proposal is to stay on DST and not Standard time, which is a bigger obstacle than the Joos from what I've read... plus, the House just had bigger fish to fry which is why they never took it up.

The bill passed the Senate in 2022 too BTW, so the Joos were ineffective in stopping it there apparently..
