Not even close.  What actually happens, that I've never seen mentioned, is that everything take on an unusual coloration for some reason.

I reread your post and realize I took it as your saying my post was wrong.
I just happened to be skimming along and now see you're agreeing that
the darkness is "not even close" to midnight...

Whew... I feel better now.
I had to get out of the "Chatroom Mode" we all can fall into now and then...
