We live on unknowns everyday, but we still trust that our lives will be safe anyway. The food we eat, the bridges we drive over, the homes we live in, the planes we fly on..etc...our safety is in the hands of the researchers/engineers/scientist who designed these things. It's all faith. We have faith that they know what they are doing and that our lives will be safe under their expertise. This is no different. I am not paranoid that my home wasn't built safely by some multimillion housing company anymore than I should be paranoid that the scientists who developed this vaccine did it unsafely, though they work for a multibillion dollar company.

It's not a matter of trust, it's an untested technology with huge potential for unintended side effects. I don't think they would deliberately produce a vaccine to reduce the population or anything nefarious like that. Some of the acute effects are absolutely frightening, we don't know what this will look like in 5 years. In 10 years. A healthy doctor got the vaccine and it caused a severe immune response which removed every platelet from his blood. He bled out internally over a painful and torturous day. I am happily surprised that these reactions are rare but I don't like the way such stories are buried. The public should know the risks.
