Same reason I castigated conservatives for suggesting the orange conman was responsible for a "roaring stock market." Nonsense. Had Hillary been president the outcomes would be similar.
The markets are certainly driven by a combination of mania and economic fundamentals, but the noise is less significant over an 8 year stretch.
I should have linked to the Investopedia article, because it pointed out how poorly Wall Street anticipates the effects of changes in Administrations.
