We have more people in prison, both per capita AND in raw numbers, than any nation on earth. How can we then be said to be the "freest nation in the world?"
That's just a marketing slogan - and a mostly debunked one, at that, - until you modify it with some definitions. Freest how? Please don't say we have freedom of religion. Rastas cannot take communion in the accustomed fashion of their faith. Neither can Navajos use Peyote or the northwestern tribes use Amanitas Muscaria. Even cancer patients cannot have good and true medicine - they are forced to used artificial medicines which enrich the corporatocracy.
Please, tell me any other lie: The check is in the mail, I'm the best you've ever had, size doesn't matter - but DON'T tell me we are the freest nation on earth. It's just a **** lie - a marketing slogan that almost no one on this planet buys anymore.
I'm not going to change that. I will keep living up to your stated standard, and you can keep pretending otherwise, and I assume that we will both be reasonable happy.
